The Corcoran College of Art + Design's Graphic Design and Digital Media Department is pleased to welcome designer Chris Pullman to the Corcoran. Chris will give a lecture about the value of designing for non-profit organizations, pro-social design work, and teaching in the Corcoran's Armand Hammer auditorium at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 10, 2009. From 1973 to 2008, Chris Pullman served as Vice President for Design for WGBH, public broadcasting in Boston. He and his staff were responsible for the visual personality of WGBH as expressed through its on-air titles, credits and animation, and promotional and sales support. Chris earned his MFA at Yale in 1966 and has taught there ever since, with a focus since the early 90’s on designing with time, motion and sound. In 2002, Chris was honored with the AIGA Medal for “excellence over a lifetime of work.”
