In this members-only Salon, we will discuss methods for identifying top talent to create an award-winning team. We’ll also discuss inspiring ideas on building and managing strong teams. Bring your own experiences to share with the group and get your burning questions answered as we discuss ideas on how to create amazing design teams.
Moderator: Michael Lejeune, Creative Director, Metro (The Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transit Authority)
Employing nearly 20 years of success in crafting communications design, Michael Lejeune builds brands and the creative teams that support them. Metro’s 20-person Design Studio creates all things visual for the nation’s third-largest transit agency. Metro’s design work received some 60 awards since 2002, including honors from the American Public Transit Association (APTA), Print, STEP Inside Design and HOW magazines, and is included in the national archives of AIGA.
Prior to joining Metro, Michael was Project Director at KBDA, an award-winning design studio in West Los Angeles and Creative Director for the in-house marketing agency of City of Hope Cancer Center. Michael graduated from UCLA in 1986 with a degree in Communication Studies and is currently serving as president of AIGA’s Los Angeles chapter.
AIGA DC Salons are free, intimate roundtable discussions limited to 12 AIGA members only. With varied topics shared among an intimate group of creative professionals, you’re sure to uncover passions, reveal approaches and share stories in this monthly series designed to inspire and delight.
